Practicing Detachment

Step back to move forward.

Practicing detachment is about taking a step back to move forward. Detaching empowers us when we do not want to control anything, thus inviting delusional thinking. Certain times in your life require that you develop detachment that grants the opportunity to reflect on “where you are” and to gain the right perspective on “where you are going” in light of “how you go to where you are.” These processes in that detachment moment are critical for future self-care and self-awareness.

Detachment is needed so that you do not take everything personally because you don’t control anyone else’s reactions, realities, personal truths, opinions, perceptions, notions and narratives. We need detachment in order to not seek others’ validation to the extent that our own opinions and thoughts start to diminish. In seeking validation, we risk self-validation of our own identity and life vision.

Detachment is needed to understand that if we feel too much passion and attachment towards something or someone else’s view, we can skew our perception ourselves and the world we live in. To experience transformation from over-attachment, we should consider being pliable of the reality that we all experience socialization, but not at the expense of our authenticity.

Detach to develop holistically.

Detach to detox emotionally.

Detach to attach to your whole self internally.

To experience real change, how can detachment lead to paths of unveil the “why” of who we are and true authenticity and self-awareness?

Let’s change together!

“Detachment is needed so that you do not take everything personally because you don’t control anyone else’s reactions, realities, personal truths, opinions, perceptions, notions and narratives. "
