MINDSET MATTERS: Why Your Mind Matters in a Time of Crisis and Injustice

Why Your Mind Matters in a Time of Crisis and Injustice

What do you want in this exact moment of time?

What do you see that impacts the fabric of your heart?

“Do you want to be made whole? Do you want to see the world heal?”

In ghastly times, our nations are losing restraint and casting away vision. We have been inundated with misinformation, disinformation and the lack of it. Overloading of sound bites, video clips and hashtags fill our minds with images, forming a neural pathway accepting of the core of these messages. Pathways are the neural grooves in our perceptual apparatus that keep the world static and unchanging for us. In regular terms, this is a "rut."

No new action has been taken because no new thinking has emerged.

Many are

Repeating mantras.

Rehearsing pain.

Repressing trauma.

Resisting change.

The cry for the "why," the sigh for the "how," and the hope for the "when" persist in the depths of our collective souls.

What Is Your Response To the Driving Questions?

I propose a few thought leadership ideas to shift your expectations leading to personal transformation. Please consider these concepts:

1. WHAT YOU BRING IS WHAT YOU GET

If you establish a patterned response from the past, the path and the energy traveled before will drive your responses. What responses do you recycle that needs to be removed?

2. INVALIDATE YOUR PREVIOUS LEVEL OF THINKING

Every major "breakthrough" is "break with." What do you need to break away from?

3. WHAT THEORIES DO YOU HAVE THAT NEED TO BE RECAST

When scientists discover something they did not know, that should not be, it requires them to recast their theories about the way things work. What needs to be recast in your mind?

4. IT IS NOT THAT YOU ARE ONE WAY OR ANOTHER; IT IS A MATTER OF WHAT YOU UNFOLD.

What are you unfolding in your reactions, responses and replies?
